Marcelo Giovannetti is one of Asylos' MENA team Coordinators. He has been a researcher in the MENA Team for over two years. Originally from the US, he has a Master’s degree from Sciences Po Paris in International Affairs and currently works at the AXA Research Fund.

Children and Young People COI Research

This project by Asylos was designed to address information gaps about children and young people who are seeking international protection.
New Rwanda research reports on mental health and trafficking published

Asylos produced compilations of Country of Origin Information in response to high demand for information evidencing mental health provision as well as identification, protection and prevention of trafficking in Rwanda. Through consultations with legal representatives and charities in the UK, Asylos published two reports in June 2024.

Teris Wetter is an Africa team researcher, she currently works as Program Manager for Circles of Care, reuniting high needs youth with their community. She is passionate about working towards reconciliation in Canada through harm-reduction and community care.
Pauline Vidal

Pauline Vidal is an Africa team researcher. She is the Research Facilitator of the Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH) in East Africa, an initiative of the Refugee Studies Centre at the University of Oxford. At RLRH, she provides training and mentorship to refugee researchers, and supports the implementation of a study on Refugee-Led Organisations in East Africa (RLOs).
Alessandro Bartolini

Alessandro Bartolini is an Americas and Russia/CIS researcher. Alessandro has worked with the International Committee of the Red Cross, later moving more to the political/security field as a political adviser at the Danish Embassy. Since 2015, his curiosity has shifted to the field of asylum and migration

Michelle Adormaa Owusu's is an Africa team researcher, her work experience includes teaching English in Iraqi Kurdistan, Georgia and Somaliland and working in international law and Canadian immigration law.

Rongpangmenla Longchar, is an Asia team researcher. She holds a master's degree in Development studies and holds interest in forced migration and advocacy for minority rights.
Lara Cansizoglu

Lara Cansizoglu is an Americas team researcher. Lara studies Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) in Italy. She has volunteered for several NGOs helping special need kids and refugees in Jordan.
