Alessandro Bartolini

Alessandro Bartolini is an Americas and Russia/CIS researcher. Alessandro have tried over the years, his hand at different things, first in the humanitarian field, with the International Committee of the Red Cross, later moving more to the political/security field, with a posting as a political adviser at the Danish Embassy in Kiev, Ukraine, and with the OSCE's Special Monitoring Mission, also in Ukraine. All of it sprinkled with election monitoring missions, whenever there was an opportunity and his expertise was required.

Since 2015, his curiosity has shifted to the field of asylum and migration as well, and Alessandro considers himself lucky enough to bump into Asylos. Besides having the privilege to help people prove their cases in different hosting countries, he has had the opportunity to research countries and contexts he would have otherwise had no chance to delve deeper into. Alessandro adds: " that ofcourse when you get positive feedback from some clients, that keeps you going for a very long time!"
