The A B Charitable Trust is an independent, UK based grant-making organisation founded in 1990 that is concerned with promoting and defending human dignity. It supports charities that defend human rights and promote respect for vulnerable individuals.

We are grateful for the Trust's financial support, which will go towards the delivery of a series of country-of-origin information (COI) research training sessions to OISC case workers, law centres and other beneficiaries in the UK. Training sessions will be delivered in partnership with Asylum Research Centre (ARC) Foundation in the course of the next 12 months and will take place online and in-person. The funding allows us to expand an initiative that we have successfully kicked off with ARC Foundation and Refugee Action with the support of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation in the past months. By training case workers on researching COI and on putting existing COI resources to effective use, we aim to help streamline the use of evidence in Refugee Status Determination (RSD) procedures.

Are you interested in participating in an online training? Sign up to our newsletter to be kept up-to-date. Is your organisation UK-based and would you like to discuss setting up an in-house training? Email us at [email protected].
