Sources of funding

Asylos obtains the majority of its funds from philanthropic donors. In 2022, our work is funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, the Sigrid Rausing Trust, the Justice Together Initiative, the Trust for London, the AB Charitable Trust, the Allen Lane Foundation, the Haella Foundation, the Evan Cornish Foundation, the Hilden Charitable Fund, the Souter Charitable Trust and the Leathersellers' Company Charitable Fund. We also obtain donations from our community of individual supporters. If you are interested in supporting Asylos, please refer to our donate page. 

Income and Expenditure

In the past three years, our income and expenditure levels were as follows:

2020 Income: 178,000€
2020 Expenditure: 179,000€

2019 Income: 163,000€
2019 Expenditure: 151,000€

2018 Income: 136,000€
2018 Expenditure: 126,000€

Remuneration policy

As set forth in our constitution, none of our trustees receive financial remuneration for their services. Our Director's annual salary is 60,733€ gross (including holiday allowance) based on full-time employment. The salary falls below the maximum level foreseen in the beloningsregeling van goede doelen in the Netherlands.

Taxes

We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in England for tax purposes. Our charity number with HMRC is ZD00352.

Asylos is also incorporated in Germany as (gemeinnützige Unternehmergesellschaft, gUG). 

We are recognised as Public Benefit Institution (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling, ANBI) in the Netherlands. Our RSIN is 826226450.
