Alexandra Dufresne
is a Board member of Asylos. She is a U.S.-trained lawyer specialising in refugee and child law and policy. She is the Director the International NGO Law and Policy Project at the Zurich University of Applied Science (ZHAW) in Winterthur, Switzerland, where she also teaches international law and Anglo-American law. Alexandra also teaches Children's Rights at the University of Zurich Faculty of Law. From 2005-2016, Alexandra taught children's law, immigration law, and refugee law at Yale College in Connecticut, where she also worked as a lawyer at leading children's rights NGOs. Earlier in her career, Alexandra represented refugees detained by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as the CLINIC Detention Fellow at Boston College Law School. Alexandra graduated from Yale College in 1996 and the University of Chicago Law School in 1999. She clerked for the Hon. Martha Craig Daughtrey of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from 2001-2002.
